The Sanwei Tanxiang decoction powder slowed the heart rate and conduction velocity in normal rats; significantly prolonged ventricular repolarization time and effective refractory period, and mildly extended atrioventricular delay time. Based on the findings from electrical mapping, a series of patch-clamp experiments were subsequently conducted.
