In a sterile pericarditis (SP) rat model, in vivo electrical mapping revealed significant atrial conduction heterogeneity in both the SP and blank patch groups.

(a) A schematic illustrating the experimental design mimicking ischemia during transplantation. The 500 mg specimen from pig left ventricle (LV) or right ventricle (RV) were either immediately frozen at liquid nitrogen temperature to generate a baseline control sample, or were incubated in UW solution SCS for 0 h, 4 h and 8 h prior to frozen at liquid nitrogen. Metabolic changes were measured in nontargeted metabolomics. (Created with BioRender). (c) Principal component analysis diagram for the LV 0 h, LV 4 h, LV 8 h, RV 0 h, RV 4 h, RV 8 h group. (d) and (e) Upset plot showing intersection size for 8 h vs. 4 h, 4 h vs. 0 h, 8 h vs. 0 h, 0 h vs. control group in LV and RV. (f) and (g) Heatmap for all DEMs of LV and RV time groups in glycolysis, TCA cycle, fatty acids and amino acids metabolites. (h) The correlation score for total metabolites in control, LV-0 h, LV-4 h, LV-8 h group. (i) and (j) KEGG pathway enrichment of DEMs in LV 0 h vs. control group, LV 8 h vs. 0 h group. Red column for the upregulation of the pathway, blue column for the downregulation of the pathway.
