Overview

First, it resolves maturity and homogeneity assessment challenges: Electrical Mapping System evaluates inter-batch homogeneity by capturing electrical signal dispersion across iPSC-CMs, establishing quantitative benchmarks for maturity standardization.

Second, it facilitates preclinical translation: Integrated Optical & Electrical mapping with iPSC/organoid models enables early-stage arrhythmogenicity screening aligned with CiPA guidelines.

MEA Mapping

Suitable Samples: Tissue or Cell Layers

MEA Mapping:iPS-derived cardiomyocytes are cultured in an MEA dish, with cells seeded directly on the electrode array. Each electrode point is capable of recording the electrical signals generated by the cells.

Measurable parameters include: excitation frequency, pacemaker location, conduction direction, conduction velocity, conduction dispersion, repolarization dispersion, and field potential duration, among other relevant data.

iPSC-CMs Field Potential Signal Detection–MEA Mapping

A: MEA mapping principle and physical diagram

B: Conductivity isochronograms before and after drug administration

C: 30 nanomoles of isoproterenol. After drug administration, the frequency of field potential activity increases and the repolarization time shortens.

The iPSc were differentiated into cardiomyocytes and cultured in MEA dishes. At each point on the 64-channel MEA electrode, there was a cluster of cells. By recording the electrical signals of each channel, the depolarization of the cells was analyzed: such as analyzing indicators like conduction time and speed. Subsequently, drugs could be added to observe the toxicity of the drugs or the therapeutic effects. At the same time, the differences in electrical activity between the cells with genetic defect diseases and normal cells could be studied, or the maturity of IPS differentiation could be evaluated.
