Optical Mapping:By incubating the sample with fluorescent dyes and using an excitation light source to induce the emission of fluorescence, a high-speed camera captures the emitted light and records fluorescence changes, which reflect variations in voltage or ion concentrations within cardiac tissue. This method enables simultaneous recording of action potentials and calcium signals.

Application of Optical Mapping in Myocardial Infarction Research

Using optical mapping technology, action potentials and calcium transients were recorded, and conduction maps of activation times at different time points were plotted. The results showed that calcium signals are more sensitive to ischemia/hypoxia.
