Application of Electrical Mapping System in Tissue Engineering Research

Electrical Mapping System

Using multi-site recording electrodes in direct contact with excitable tissues or cells, electrical signals are simultaneously acquired from multiple locations. Dedicated software then processes these signals to generate visual maps and dynamic videos, enabling accurate identification, evaluation, and spatial localization of excitation activity.

Simultaneous recording of atrial and ventricular electrical activity

Activation map of field potential at different sites. The conduction direction is from the red area to the blue area with a conduction time of 5.8 ms.

Sequential waveforms of excitation times at different sites

Measurable parameters: excitation frequency, pacemaker site, conduction direction and velocity, conduction dispersion, repolarization dispersion, and QT interval dispersion.

In addition to field potential recording, the system enables synchronous monitoring of ventricular systolic pressure, coronary perfusion pressure, monophasic action potentials, electrocardiograms (ECG), and perfusion temperature, providing comprehensive electrophysiological and functional assessment.
