Myocardial Infarction

Myocardial infarction (MI) causes ischemia, necrosis, and often fatal arrhythmias (e.g., AF/VF), as well as post-infarct fibrosis with conduction abnormalities. Conventional research tools lack the resolution to capture these dynamic electrophysiological changes. Our integrated platform combines high-resolution optical and multi-channel electrical mapping to synchronously acquire voltage and Ca²⁺ signals, quantifying key parameters (APD90, calcium transient amplitude, conduction velocity) to clearly characterize healthy, border-zone, and infarcted tissues. This supports mechanistic studies, drug screening, and preclinical evaluation, accelerating translational research and therapy development for MI.
