This video demonstrates optical mapping of cardiac tissue slices, a preparation that preserves native myocardial architecture and intercellular connectivity while allowing precise experimental control. Using our dual-channel optical mapping system, voltage and calcium dynamics can be simultaneously recorded across multiple tissue slices with high temporal and spatial resolution. This approach bridges the gap between cellular assays and whole-heart studies, providing a medium-throughput platform for assessing cardiac drug safety, electrophysiological responses, and proarrhythmic risk under physiologically relevant conditions.
